Want to Know Who’s Tracking Your Online Behavior?

I highly recommend installing the Firefox add-on Ghostery to your browser. It “alerts you about the web bugs, ad networks and widgets on every page on the web.” On my blog alone there are three “ghosts.” And not only do they tell you how many web bugs are tracking you, they tell you the names of the organizations who are watching so you can do your own research to see where your behavior is being “analyzed.” I salute the developers of this program for promoting awareness of marketing surveillance/website stat recorders. And they have a super cute logo:
